Canada, Coast to Coast to Coast.
The Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Organization (CPPAO) is a national, Canadian-founded organization specializing in personal property appraisals. Its coast-to-coast network of accredited appraisers represents a wide range of expertise from across the country.
CPPAO offers comprehensive training and accreditation in personal property appraisal to professionals from diverse backgrounds, including auctioneers, insurance specialists, antique dealers, heavy equipment vendors, lawyers, accountants, and professionals in banking and lending institutions.
The Evolution of Personal Property Appraiser Training in Canada
The Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Group (CPPAG) was co-founded in 1995 by 2 original partners and the partnership was dissolved in 2025. The Canadian Personal Property Appraisers Organization (CPPAO) was founded in 2025 to provide for a transition to former CPPAG members holding the CPPA™ designation so that Canadian appraisers will continue to benefit by holding a Canadian made appraiser designation that will be supported by the new entity (CPPAO).
